Lateral Apartment Remodel — Marylebone
Interior Design & Building Remodelling — 1,240 Square Feet
This first-floor lateral apartment in Marylebone was transformed by the Antonio Grano studio through a programme of structural remodelling and interior design that treated the building works and decorative scheme as a single, integrated endeavour. The open-plan living and entertaining areas are defined by sumptuous velvet wall padding in a palette of greys, whites, and chromes, punctuated by illuminated blue onyx features that introduce both natural beauty and a distinctive atmospheric depth. Period doors were carefully retained, restored, and finished with complementary padding — connecting the new interior to the building's original character with an assurance that only comes from understanding both the construction and the design in equal measure.
A bespoke mirror television is integrated seamlessly into the wall padding above a lateral granite fireplace in the lounge, with wireless media connectivity ensuring the home functions as effortlessly as it looks. The master bathroom suite — a granite jacuzzi set within marble tiling, with onyx stone detailing — extends the same material commitment found throughout the apartment into the most private space in the home. This project is a clear example of what Antonio Grano's combined design and build capability delivers: an interior where the quality of the structural work and the quality of the design are, by the time the project is complete, entirely indistinguishable from one another.
