Structural Remodel & Refurbishment

This project tackled a full structural renovation that not only reinforced the building’s integrity but also transformed the attic into a duplex style, luxurious master ensuite. The outdoor area was redesigned to complement the new living spaces, creating a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor comfort. Here is a detailed look at how this transformation was achieved.



Stripping the Interior to the Bare Bones


Before rebuilding, the entire interior was stripped down, including the floors. This allowed for a fresh start and ensured that any hidden issues such as outdated wiring, plumbing, or damaged materials could be addressed.



The Process Revamping


  • Removing old flooring and subflooring

  • Stripping walls to expose framing for inspection

  • Updating electrical and plumbing systems to current standards


This thorough approach laid a solid foundation for the new design and construction






Adding a Single-Story Extension with a Glass Roof Terrace


To expand the living space, a single-story extension was added to the rear of the property. This extension features a reinforced glass roof that doubles as a terrace. Key highlights include:


  • Glass panels designed to support foot traffic safely

  • Access from the ground floor lounge and office area

  • A seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces


The terrace offers a unique outdoor living area with views over the garden, perfect for relaxation or entertaining guests.
