Creating Refined Spaces for Family Living

Our client envisioned a large rear extension that would exude character and refinement. The design focused on incorporating elegant stone features to create a spacious kitchen diner. This area includes a generous dining space, complete with cascading patio doors that open onto a newly formed patio area. Before the groundworks began, we carefully removed the existing ground floor outer building.

To enhance the dining experience, we installed a large remote-controlled sunroof. This feature ensures that the dining area is bathed in natural light, providing a beautiful vista for those dining beneath it. The south-facing aspect of this family home allows for stunning views, making every meal a delight.

Expanding Family Spaces

The existing formal lounge was significantly increased to accommodate the family’s needs. Additionally, we designed a granny annex to the left of the property. This self-contained area allows the children’s grandmother to move in comfortably with the family.

Designing the Perfect Patio Area

We created a new patio area using the client’s preferred stone and a retaining wall. This design steps down and out to the garden area, enhancing the overall aesthetic. New, subtle plantings were added to complement the space, creating a harmonious connection with nature.

Final Touches to the Dining Area

Once the windows, patio doors, and external patio area were fully completed, we styled and furnished the dining area. This space was designed to be inviting and functional, perfect for family gatherings and entertaining guests.

A large family dining area was introduced, featuring exquisite white porcelain Italian tiles. We opted for a fresh, open, and clean design approach, making this new family space both beautiful and functional.
