Brief
Substantial structural reconfiguration and ground floor spatial reengineering of a fifty-one hundred and eighty square foot period home in Hertfordshire to unlock spatial capacity suppressed by partitioned historical layouts.
Execution
The studio governed the complete structural intervention under a single point of clear accountability. We directed the removal of load bearing internal masonry, installed precision engineered structural steelwork, integrated expansive architectural glazing to maximize natural light, and established seamless spatial flow between interior living areas and exterior landscapes.
Outcome
An expansive period residence transformed into a high-performance open-plan living environment. This technical intervention de-risks structural complexity, optimised spatial utility, and elevates overall property functionality while safeguarding long-term capital asset value.
