The Mission: A Modern Sanctuary in Marylebone

Our client came to us with a specific vision: they wanted a slice of modern, masculine luxury in one of London’s most prestigious postcodes. They wanted a home that felt expansive, serene, and sophisticated, utilising a palette of cool greys and high-end finishes.

But first, we had to find it.

The team at AntonioGrano.com successfully sourced and acquired a period apartment with wonderful period charm but tired interiors. As seen in the before photos, the property required a complete overhaul. We didn’t just paint over the cracks; we gutted the space entirely, removing old wallpaper, dated fixtures, and crumbling plaster to create a blank canvas for a modern masterpiece.

The Transformation: Smart Living

The client’s brief for the living area was a masterclass in spatial efficiency and sleek design. They required a space that could function as a lounge, a diner, and a kitchen without feeling cluttered.

To achieve this, we designed a bespoke single-counter kitchen diner lounge. At first glance, it appears to be a sleek, monolithic stone counter. However, it pulls out to reveal a fully functional high-spec kitchen, complete with a hob, fridge, microwave, and an essential for a Marylebone residence, a champagne fridge.

To maintain the airy, open feel of the room, we utilized ghost seating, ensuring the sightlines remained uninterrupted and the focus stayed on the textures of the room: the herringbone floors, the crystal chandelier, and the plush, grey velvet wall paneling.

The Master Suite: A Modern Interpretation

The bedroom was designed to be the ultimate retreat. The centerpiece is a striking modern interpretation of a Super King four-poster bed. Chrome-framed and architectural, it commands the room without visually weighing it down.

Continuing the "tones of grey" theme, we softened the space with floor-to-ceiling upholstered wall panels and heavy, luxurious drapery.

The Dressing Area & Bathroom

True luxury is defined by storage and spa-like amenities. We carved out a dedicated walk-in dressing area, featuring custom joinery, integrated lighting, and dark wood finishes that turn the act of getting dressed into an occasion.

Finally, the bathroom was transformed from a demolition site into a sanctuary. We clad the space in luxurious natural stone, creating a tactile, organic, and ultra-modern wet room that rivals London’s top hotels.
