This project was guided by one simple but powerful goal: To turn a dark, fragmented part of the home into one bright, modern kitchen that would redefine everyday living. The result is a kitchen that now sits confidently as the heart of the home open, light-filled, and deeply connected to both family life and the outdoors.

The Plan

Where once there were multiple unused rooms, there is now one generous, contemporary kitchen space filled with natural light and calm. The new layout immediately changed how the home feels. It created openness, flow, and a sense of ease that simply did not exist before.

The Before & During Stage

The Build Design Ethos

At the center of the space, the kitchen is designed entirely around how the family lives. A large island now brings everyone together for breakfast, dining, entertaining, and everyday moments. It encourages conversation and connection, naturally drawing people into the heart of the home.

The clean, modern lines of the cabinetry are balanced with warm finishes and soft lighting. This ensures the space feels both refined and welcoming.

A Seamless Connection to Nature

A full glass elevation opens the kitchen directly onto the garden. This allows natural light to flood the room throughout the day. It gives the family a constant visual connection to the outdoors. Every season now becomes part of the kitchen’s atmosphere. Above, a newly created balcony overlooks the garden, reinforcing the kitchen as the visual and emotional centre of the property.
