Lateral Apartment, Marylebone
Interior Design & Remodelling Building Works
1,240 Square Feet
This first-floor lateral apartment was transformed by the Antonio Grano studio into a residence of relaxed, modern opulence — one in which richly tactile materials and a precisely considered lighting scheme work in close concert to define the character of every space. The living and entertaining areas are distinguished by sumptuous velvet wall padding in a refined palette of greys, whites, and chromes, animated by illuminated blue onyx wall features with a depth of tone that shifts with the light. Period doors were retained, restored, and complemented with matching padding, connecting the new interior to the building's original character with quiet intelligence.
At the heart of the lounge, a custom mirror television is seamlessly integrated into the wall padding above a lateral granite fireplace, with wireless screen-mirroring providing the practical connectivity that a discerning modern household requires. The master bathroom suite — featuring an overlaid granite jacuzzi set within marble tiling and accented with onyx stone elements — completes an interior that treats the highest standards of material craft as a non-negotiable foundation for luxury apartment living in London.
