Ensuite Creation — Lateral Period Apartment

The challenge presented by this lateral period apartment was one the Antonio Grano building team approaches with particular care: to integrate a modern, high-specification ensuite bathroom into a principal bedroom without disrupting the generous proportions or architectural integrity that make a period apartment of this nature worth preserving in the first place. The solution was not to partition a corner of the existing room, but to construct a bespoke architectural volume within the master suite — a room within a room — that houses the new facilities with a purposefulness and refinement that feels entirely intentional rather than incidental.

Within this dedicated structure, a substantial 1,200mm concealed rainwater feature shower was installed to the client's specific requirement, delivering a genuine spa-level experience within the home environment. The approach preserves the bedroom's generous proportions whilst adding a level of bathroom specification that transforms how the suite functions and feels on a daily basis.
